Escape the high-volume chaos. Practice thoughtful, unhurried emergency medicine in a supportive, low-stress environment.

We are a modern micro-hospital in Sugar Land, Texas—essentially a freestanding emergency room with a small number of inpatient beds. Our daily volume is intentionally kept low at 10–12 patients per day , allowing you to deliver high-quality, personalized care without the burnout common at the three busy hospital EDs nearby. Inpatient admissions and observation patients (only about 20 per month) are fully covered by a dedicated hospitalist team, so your focus remains on emergency care.

This is a full-time position designed for long-term sustainability and excellent work-life balance.

Position Highlights

  • Patient Volume & Acuity : 10–12 patients per 24-hour day (low volume, lower-acuity setting with minimal transfers)
  • Shift Structure : 12-hour shifts with the flexibility to extend to 24-hour shifts when desired (allowing more consecutive days off)
  • Team Support : Collaborative environment with experienced nursing staff and APP support; hospitalist handles all inpatient/observation cases
  • Facility : Modern, well-equipped micro-hospital focused on efficient, high-quality emergency and limited inpatient care

Why Physicians Love This Opportunity

Unlike the stressful, high-acuity environments at nearby large hospital EDs, our low daily volume means more time per patient, predictable workflow, and a true sense of work-life balance. Many of our physicians specifically chose us to avoid burnout while still earning a strong, market-competitive income in a physician-friendly setting. This is ideal for someone seeking a sustainable career in emergency medicine without sacrificing quality of life.

Location – Sugar Land, Texas Live and work in one of the Houston area’s most desirable suburbs. Sugar Land offers excellent schools, master-planned communities, beautiful parks, family-friendly amenities, top-rated dining, and easy access to Houston’s cultural scene, airports, and medical centers—without the daily traffic grind.
