The American Red Cross is currently seeking a Part-Time Engagement Intern . This position is located in San Diego CA and will report out of the San Diego (Fortunada) chapter . Please note that this role is not eligible for relocation assistance.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):
Internship opportunity for an undergraduate student or trainee to gain work experience offered by an organization for a limited period of time. Assist in the assessment and development of ARC programs. Conduct research related to the program and recommend processes for greater efficiency. Assist with the creation and/or maintenance of program plans and systems. Provide support development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal State and local regulations. This role is not eligible for relocation assistanceWHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):
1: May support unit with research projects.
2: Typically analyze data present facts and recommend solutions.
3: May create develop or maintain databases for various lines of service events or projects.
4: Assist with the development of reports and other informational materials presented to management.
5: Conduct unit-specific responsibilities.
6 : Event planning and attention to detail.
Scope: Learning aspects of the job. Assignments are received in task- oriented terms. Contacts primarily within immediate work unit.PAY INFORMATION: Pay Information: The salary range for this position is (CA): $17.75/hr.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
Education: High School or equivalentrequired. Internship is typically part of an undergraduate program which requires some university credit hours.
Experience: Up to 1 year of related experience.
Management Experience: N/a
Skills & Abilities : Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word PowerPoint and Excel). Ability to work on a team.
Travel: N/a
