Job Description

Rightstone  is looking for an  Industrial Shop & Logistics Assistant in Broussard, LA. The pay rate is $18/hr. for a 6-month contract, with a strong potential for renewal.  

In this role, you will be the backbone of daily shop and warehouse operations. You will ensure the facility remains high functioning by maintaining a clean, organized work environment and assisting with the critical preparation and packing of tools and equipment for outbound field operations  

Responsibilities  

• Clean and wash industrial equipment to maintain strict operational readiness and safety standards.  
• Assist the Shop Foreman in packing specialized tools and equipment for outbound field shipments.  
• Verify tool and equipment lists against packing instructions to ensure 100% accuracy before delivery.  
• Load and unload tools, parts, and equipment manually or with material handling aids as needed.  
• Maintain a clean and organized shop floor, ensuring all areas are free of debris and hazards.  
• Ensure all tools and supplies are returned to their proper designated storage areas.  
• Follow all safety protocols and consistently wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).  
• Monitor the condition of equipment and promptly report any damaged tools to the Shop Foreman.  
• Provide general support for various warehouse and shop activities as assigned by leadership.  

Qualifications:  

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.  
• Previous experience in a warehouse, shop, or general labor environment.  
• Physical ability to lift, push, and pull materials and stand or walk for the duration of the shift.  
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow multi-step instructions accurately.  
• Reliable work ethic and a track record of consistent, punctual attendance.  
• Ability to work safely within an industrial shop environment.  
• Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet field operation deadlines.  
• Must be comfortable wearing all required safety gear and PPE.
