Location: Hartford, CT (Remote Option Available) | Type: W2 Contract | Rate: $50/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM on IBM mainframe systems
• Perform end-to-end development in COBOL on z/OS
• Utilize AI Copilot tools to assist with COBOL code documentation and modernization efforts
• Support and enhance existing mainframe applications while ensuring system stability and performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project and operational requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with IBM mainframe application development
• COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM
• Experience working with DB2, including associated daemon processes
• Exposure to or experience with the Unisys platform
• Familiarity with using AI-powered tools (Copilot) in a mainframe development context
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Mainframe development using AI Copilot
• COBOL-based application enhancement and documentation
