Location: Starkville, MS Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Are you a hands-on professional looking for a challenging role in manufacturing? We are seeking a skilled Wire Draw Operator to join our production facility in Starkville. This is an essential role responsible for precision work in transforming raw materials into high-quality finished products. Precision Operations: Safely operate the wire drawing line, breaking down copper and aluminum rods into precise wire specifications.
Technical Setup: Interpret Bills of Materials (BOM) and production orders to configure machinery, including selecting proper dies, stringing dies, and adjusting gearboxes.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular Outer Diameter (O.D.) checks and inspections to ensure all finished wire meets our strict quality standards.
Machine Maintenance: Perform essential tasks such as changing bobbins and stems, and welding rods as needed to keep the production line running smoothly.
Strategic Planning: Interpret Purchase Orders (POs) to prioritize your shift workflow and meet tight scheduling deadlines.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Technical Aptitude: Proficiency with common hand tools and measurement instruments.
Safety Mindset: A strong commitment to following safety protocols in an industrial environment.
Physical Capability: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and perform movements such as twisting, stooping, crouching, and reaching. Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds safely.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; must be at least 18 years of age.
Strong Hourly Pay: Starting at $20.64/hr .
Night Shift Premium: Earn an additional $1.00/hr for your night shift work.
Work Environment: This is an active production environment that is non-climate-controlled, requiring comfort with working in varying temperatures and around industrial noise, dust, and fumes.
