Quality Supervisor | Traverse City, MI

Salary Range: $69,000 - $98,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and mentor quality control technicians and inspectors.
• Ensure strict adherence to quality management systems (QMS), product specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate product non-conformances, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Monitor and analyze quality data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee all inspection and testing activities throughout the manufacturing process, from incoming materials to finished goods.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality control procedures and work instructions.
• Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for quality enhancement.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in quality assurance/control within a manufacturing environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and auditing principles.
• Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, 8D).
• Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification
• Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., medical devices, aerospace, automotive)
