Research Assistant I (Full Time)
Policy Research Associates, Inc. (PRA) is seeking to fill a full-time Research Assistant position to support ongoing projects involving large-scale and complex administrative datasets. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a team and will be responsible for cleaning, structuring, and documenting complex data to support data analysis for research and evaluation projects. The portfolio of projects is focused on mental health diversion programs, assisted outpatient treatment, and outcomes and pathways for adults within the criminal legal system who are found incompetent to stand trial.
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience and interest in behavioral health and the criminal legal system. The candidate will have experience or interest working with real-world data from jails, courts, hospitals, and other behavioral health and criminal legal system services and programs. The successful candidate will gain experience with administrative data and will have the opportunity to contribute to publications and deliverables for policy, practice, and scholarly audiences.
This position is remote, (subject to PRA’s remote employee/telework policy)with occasional project travel (e.g., site visits) and travel to PRA’s offices in the Capital Region of NY (Albany/Troy) required. The normal work week is Monday through Friday, with project meetings held during typical business hours (9am - 5pm ET).

This remote position is full-time, with a salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
