Job Description

About Us

We are a student housing company focused on creating vibrant, community-driven living experiences for college students. Our communities live online just as much as they do onsite, and we’re looking for a Social Media Intern to help bring our properties, events, and resident life to life across social platforms.

Position Overview

The Social Media Intern will work closely with our corporate marketing team and onsite property teams to support, guide, and elevate social media content across multiple communities. This role is ideal for a college student who understands social media culture, trends, and content creation—and enjoys helping others improve their online presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with onsite teams to review and provide feedback on their social media accounts
  • Help guide onsite teams on best practices for content, engagement, and brand consistency
  • Assist with content planning, ideation, and execution for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and others
  • Identify trends, sounds, and content styles relevant to college students and student housing
  • Create original content or templates that onsite teams can easily replicate
  • Support campaign launches, events, and promotions through social media
  • Monitor performance and engagement, and share insights or recommendations for improvement
  • Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled college student (marketing, communications, media, or related fields preferred but not required)
  • Experience managing personal or business social media accounts with a following or creating content (Reels, TikToks, Stories, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of social media trends, tone, and platform best practices
  • Comfortable giving constructive feedback and working with multiple teams
  • Creative, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Canva, Adobe tools, or video editing apps
  • Previous internship or campus organization involvement related to marketing or social media
  • Familiarity with analytics or social media insights

What You’ll Gain

  • Hands-on experience in social media marketing within the student housing industry
  • Opportunity to work directly with real communities and see your ideas come to life
  • Portfolio-worthy content and professional mentorship
  • Exposure to brand strategy, content planning, and community marketing
  • Coaching, mentorship, and guidance from experienced marketing team
